On May 28, 2024, SWYAA Canada was honored to receive the Ambassador’s Award from His Excellency YAMANOUCHI Kanji, Ambassador of Japan.
The conferment ceremony was attended by Senator Krista Ann Ross, Members of Parliament Angelo Iacono and Shelby Kramp-Neuman, Mr. Weldon Epp, Assistant Deputy Minister (Indo-Pacific) at Global Affairs Canada, as well as members of the Prime Minister’s Youth Council.

Several SWYAA Canada members traveled to Ottawa from Toronto, Kingston, Montreal, Calgary, and Lake Placid, NY. In true SWY spirit, alumni from Peru, Ecuador, Bangladesh, Yemen, and Japan also joined the celebration.
